Cake smash photographer in Bolton
Suzanne started capturing cake smash photos eight years ago and now the trend is so popular, you can feel under pressure to get it just right. Documenting your little one coming face-to-face with their first birthday cake is such a great way to mark those one year old photos and celebrate that milestone – baby first birthday. But with so many Cake Smash accessories, where do you start?I’d suggest the cake smash cake is pretty important; a good size, lots of butter cream and stay away from chocolate. (Tends to look like something else when smeared all over the place.) Sara Wilson at Cake House bakes all my delicious cakes and we’ve found the perfect height, icing colours and added extras to entice even the most shy little ones.
The secrets to a great Cake Smash
One of the great things about the cake smash photo sessions is that you have no clearing up to do. It all takes place at CT images in Bolton right near the Town Centre. You get to enjoy your little ones delight as they smash cake with no concerns about it causing mess in your own home!
Cake Smash Ideas
There is so much information available on the perfect cake smash colours, cake smash outfit and cake smash theme but I really like to focus on the experience. The most important thing I’ve learnt over the years and from my own daughter’s cake smash, is to have fun, make memories and beautiful images will follow. Don’t stress whether the headband stays on or if there is icing all over their face, as long as they find it exciting, you’ll have some fabulous photos to treasure.
Cake Smash and Splash
All children are different, which is why I make the photo sessions, baby led. If your little one is raring to go, I’ll get the camera straight out. But if we need to have a brew, whilst your baby explores the studio, that’s no problem either.
Some children like to absolutely demolish the cake, while others are more interested in stuffing their faces. But don’t worry, whenever you think they’ve eaten enough we’ll stop and can move onto bath time. Splashing about in a little tin bath creates gorgeous photos and is a fab way to clean up baby and finish the photo shoot.
Cake Smash for Two year olds
Cake Smashes are just as much fun for toddlers turning two and a good way to keep them still, whilst capturing gorgeous images.
So if your baby turned one during lockdown why not book in for a second birthday cake smash and splash, there is no reason for them to have missed out!
