Before the wedding

We visit your wedding venue, before the day to completely familiarise ourselves with the best locations for your photographs. Some of our favourite venues in Lancashire are Gibbon Bridge Hotel, Astley Bank Hotel, Last Drop Village Hotel, Egerton House and Ridgemont House.

We believe it’s incredibly important to get to know our bride and groom, to put them at ease on their big day and capture their true personality in the photographs. We therefore like to meet up for a chat and can also organise a shoot where you can practise in front of the camera to show you how to look your best for the big day. Some couples try to cut costs and use a friend that’s good at taking photographs for their wedding but are often disappointed with the results. We understand how expensive weddings can get and therefore keep our prices affordable. However by using professionals you can be confident that you will look your best in every photograph. Our experience enables us to manage tricky weather conditions and any other little surprises that come along on the day. This makes a huge difference technically to the photography and also your peace of mind. You only get one opportunity for great wedding pictures!

The BIG day

We know how much time and care goes into planning your wedding so we don’t want to tell you what to do, but we are there to offer advice. Our style is similar to photojournalism in which we tell a story of your day capturing the laughter and romance, the happiness and the tears, the ritual and the unexpected. We would encourage some posed photographs but on the whole we prefer not to interrupt the proceedings and simply create a record that reflects all the love and joy of the day from you and your guests.

Although our main work takes place in the Northwest of England, we will travel throughout the UK. The only extra expenses are travel and accommodation. We’ve also been privileged enough to shoot weddings in Vienna, the Amalfi Coast, Mexico and South Africa. If you are planning on getting married abroad and like our style, we would be happy to help.
