Lancaster pre wedding photography | Pamela & Max

Sometimes you get to hear stories that sound like they are from a Hollywood film and show that love can cross continents! Pamela met Max when he went on an adventure to Australia and moved into her apartment block in Sydney, where Pam was a fantastic tour guide. Their romance brought Pam over to London, where they both live now. The engagement was a romantic early wake -up call at 4am and their wedding is going to be in Max’s home town of Lancaster, next month, with vintage influences and a chinese tea ceremony, it’s going to be exquisite! We met up with Pam and Max at Merchants 1688 to take a few pre wedding photos and go through last minute details. We then walked around the beautiful  Lancaster Castle and captured some gorgeous, natural photographs. Can’t wait to be back for the wedding at the Ashton Memorial in Williamson Park in a few weeks!

Bolton Albert Halls wedding photography | Vic & Mark

Thirteen years to the day they got together Mark and Victoria said their vows in front of family and friends at the Bolton Albert Halls. Guests then were treated to a champagne bus ride to The Pack Horse at Affetside to continue the celebrations. Suzanne and I travel so much throughout the North-west and it was so nice to be taking pictures in our own town centre with such a great bunch of people! Victoria really personalised the day by making her own flowers decorated with her Grandma’s brooch. She also made the table plan and dressings and wore a long veil that belonged to Marks Mum Rose.

Lowry Hotel Manchester wedding | Jill & Paul

The sun came out at The Lowry Hotel in Manchester for Paul and Jill’s wedding day on Sunday. The couple are regular visitors at this beautiful hotel so chose to have their wedding breakfast in the chic restaurant overlooking Trinity Bridge and the River Irwell. We were really looking forward to their big day after meeting with them a few months ago to take a few pre wedding photos in Castlefield. It was a fairytale ceremony, Jill looked absolutely stunning as she walked up the aisle to a string quartet playing and walked out with her Prince Charming as their gorgeous nephews and nieces carried a sign that read, ‘and they all lived happily ever after’. We just loved the attention to detail with the photo board, carefully chosen love quotes in the table centre flowers and the personalised handkerchiefs that were given out before the ceremony to friends and family.

Village Hotel Wedding | Susanna & Jez

It was Susanna and Jez’s wedding day after a whirlwind romance from the day that Facebook suggested they become friends! They got married at their own church, Hattersley Community Church thats meets at a Primary School. The heartfelt service was followed by cute cupcakes and fizzy pop. Later the guests headed off to the Village Hotel in Ashton Under Lyne whilst we called off at Werneth Low for some pictures. This place is very special to them and is where we had taken their pre wedding photography to celebrate their engagement. The bride looked gorgeous in a tea length vintage style dress with fabulous Kurt Geiger shoes and a red pillar box handbag. Susanna is Ebay queen and everything from the dress to the birdcage table arrangements were discovered on-line. This wedding was a real pleasure to photograph and we especially loved the quick stop off at Starbucks before the ceremony!

Browsholme Hall Engagement | Emma & Aaron

After photographing Megan and Rob’s wedding at Browsholme Hall in 2013 we’ve always wanted to go back and explore this beautiful hall, tithe barn, gardens and lake. So we were delighted to meet Emma and Aaron in Didsbury a few months ago to go through their wedding plans at Browsholme. They decided to have their engagement photos taken at their wedding venue, which is a great idea if you choose somewhere so picturesque! It was especially fun on the lake, but we’re quietly glad Emma didn’t have a huge, expensive wedding dress on this time!

Lancashire wedding photography | Bridal Inspiration

Meeting Harriet has been a treat… she’s not only a great business woman, she’s a fantastic hair stylist and complete inspiration. We shot these pictures for her new venture into the wedding dress industry on location near Ridgmont House in Bolton, Lancashire. Ridgmont is a beautiful wedding venue where a few of my friends and my sister have got married. The idea of the shoot was to capture the model and dresses against the evening light. The trees however where hiding most of the sunset but it was interesting to see how far we could push it before we completely lost the sunlight… (the final shots were taken around 9pm!) Huge thank you to Kathryn O’Donnell for the models stunning make-up and Ridgmont House for letting us play in their gardens and fields.lancashire-wedding-photographer-weddings-female-photography-creative-photographers_0001.jpg

Chester Engagement

Last Wednesday we got to visit the Cheshire city of Chester for an engagement photo session. This lovely couple got engaged there and we went back with them to capture some memories. Last Drop Wedding | Andrea & Ryan

It was a real pleasure to meet Andrea and Ryan and find out about their big day. Andrea was beautiful inside and out and I knew we were going to get some great pictures! The ceremony was held at Holy Infants & St Anthonys church in Astley Bridge, Bolton where the priest was extremely welcoming. We then drove the short journey to the Last Drop Village hotel.  The hotel is a unique wedding venue with neat gardens and fountain at the front and old fashioned black and white style buildings in the centre. At the back are beautiful wild fields which gave the venue so much scope for fabulous photos just before the bride and groom joined their guests for their wedding meal. Congratulations to Mr and Mrs Stringer, we hope your day was everything you dreamed of!
