It seems that every Mitton Hall wedding is completely unique and Megan and Evan’s beautiful day was no exception. Their wedding style was simply classic. Above all they wanted to just celebrate, relax and spend quality time with their friends and family. The hot weather provided the perfect atmosphere to do that and enjoy the stunning gardens of Mitton Hall in the Ribble Valley with an ice cold drink. These pictures are the first part of their special day and the couple photos are taken in the gardens at the rear of the venue. Please see more pictures of Evan and Megan on their beautiful lancaster pre wedding photography shoot here. More pictures to come later in the week of their brilliant speeches and evening reception at Mitton Hall.
Wherever these two are in the world, as long as there is a ‘Slug and Lettuce’, they’re happy. This is where Bolton couple Kez and Joel had their first date in Harrogate after a trip to Leeds. Joel met Kez through a mutual friend Jack when she was fourteen at a youth event in her Dad’s church. They became friends and where amazed at how much they had in common. Kez felt she had met someone who really understood her and they would talk for literally hours (and hours) on the phone! A few years of friendship later (after asking her Father’s permission to date) Kez and Joel got together and this summer they get married!
We were absolutely gutted when we realized we were already booked on Joel and Kez ‘s wedding day but thankfully our friend Danny has saved the day and offered to take the pictures. Joel and his amazing family go to my mum’s church and I still wanted to be part of the celebrations and give them a wedding pressie so I suggested a practice shoot. Pre-wedding sessions are useful because you can choose to have it when the weather is beautiful and sunny and it’s a time where the couple can be alone, stop planning and take time out before the big day. For the photographs I suggested Anglezarke at Rivington and it turned out that Joel and Kez love it there too! It was great getting to know you both, have an amazing day! Cat xx
I can’t believe it’s only been 18 months since I started capturing Cake Smash photo sessions, its been so much fun and I’ve met some of the most adorable kids. I can’t believe how far people have come; from Morecambe, Liverpool and Oldham, to name a few. The way I shoot the sessions is developing all the time and I’ve learnt so many tricks to encourage the little ones to really go for it and cover themselves in cake. Probably the best one of these would be playing the Frozen soundtrack, I’ve not found a child yet that can resist having a little dance and singing along!
