As lockdown was announced again this month, the ceremony was quickly rearranged for a Tuesday. The weather didn’t know what to do, one minute it was sunny, the next minute it was pouring. I was optimistic, but it hadn’t dawned on me that the ceremony was at 3pm so it was going to be pretty dark by the time we were done! After hair and make-up was finished the morning was celebrated with tasty sausages and potatoes and cups of warming tea, and we were ready to go. Thankfully the rain held off just as the bride made it from the house to the car and we were off to the incredible building that is St Johns in Farnworth, just tucked down one of the side streets – I’d never noticed it before but its truly beautiful. In the car – calmly driven by our friend Rach (complete with worship music, prayers and flowers on the back shelf) the heavens opened and the skies were both sunny and dark at the same time. The bride mentioned that this was her favourite type of weather and just as they turned the corner they were greeted by a huge full rainbow that framed the sky. I was in the car behind and completely missed it – hence no picture, but I know that this was for her and she saw it 🙂
