Some people meet their soul mates later in life and some meet them whilst they are still really young. Suzanne and I are thrilled to blog this gorgeous engagement shoot of Georgia and Andrew who are tying the knot in a few weeks. We wanted to do something a little different and thought Georgia could definitely pull off the 1940’s ‘land girl’ style that inspired us. With thanks to Kat O’Donnell for her styling and my dad for letting me shoot at our farm! Georgia and Andy… we wish you every blessing as you start married life together and are here for you always! xx
Georgia & Andrew’s engagement story…
Georgia and I met in our first year of high school, we were in the same form, luckily! She didn’t notice me but I noticed her straight away, she was beautiful! She just oozed charisma, I was instantly hooked. We then were put next to each other in one of our most frequent classes and that was it, we got on brilliantly! However she just ‘liked’ me, the love part came a lot, lot later!
I had been planning to propose for a long while to Georgia but I had no idea how to do it. So I went right back to the start of the relationship and remembered how outdoorsy we were and knew that was the way to go. I found a shack in the middle of no-where and with the help of friends, created a romantic atmosphere with fairy lights and other paraphernalia, I can’t tell you what she actually said when I popped the question but it ended up with a yes! Best moment in my life.
Georgia is the most caring person I think in existence! She understands me beautifully and it can sometimes be hilarious how in sync we are at times! I have to say she can be a handful at times but it is such a small price to pay for the fantastic privilege of knowing this woman! A tip for being together, compromise!
Georgia and I have had more than our fair share of arguments over such stupid things and it usually comes down to one of us being too stubborn!
I think the most beneficial thing you can do in that situation is just swallow your pride and try to empathise with your partner and see their way of thinking.
I have so much love for Georgia and I am so excited for the day when I can call her my wife! Twenty is very young and we both know and understand that. It makes things difficult but we know we are more than ready and can’t think of a better time to make the biggest commitment of our lives
